TPO33-Application of ancient stone balls

The lecture and the passage disscus the utilization of some ancient art if acts which have been recently discovered. Although the passage claims that there are three possible hypothesises for application of these artifacts, the speaker refutes these ideas through a number of reasons which will be described in this report.

First of all, the passage points out that these stone ball could be some weapons which are used for haunting or struggling. The speaker, in contrast, rejects this by claiming that if these sotne balls were used for haunting, they would have some cracks; however, these artifacts have soft surfaces. She also states that common arrow were conventional on those times; then, these stone balls were not useful for haunting.

Furthermore, unlike the passage which states that because of having uniform shape, these artifacts could be used as a measurment in ancient trads; the speaker argues that this speculation is not ture. She also mentions that although these stone balls have uniform shape, their masses are different from each other due to reason that they have been created from distinct stones; therefore, their densities are not the same. So, they cannot be used as a measurement utility.

Finally, although the passage says that these artifacts could be a social marker for their owners, the professor disagrees by mentioning that all of the these stone balls do not have complex design and some of them have been carved in simple design. She also believes that on those times, the high class person would be buried with their possesions in their graves; however, these artifacts have been not found in graves.

Through the reasons which have been described above, the passage claims are rejected by the professor.
