In the passage, the author provides three reasons, claiming that dinosaurs are endotherms. Conversely, in the lecture, the professor casts doubt on the reading points by explaining some evidence that dinosaurs are not endotherms.

First, the author affirms that some dinosaur fossils have found in polar regions, and only endotherm animals can maintain their body temperature in cold regions. However, the professor indicates that in the time when dinosaurs live, the aforementioned regions were not as cold as today. Moreover, she mentions that the dinosaurs could migrate to warmer places in cold months or they might hibernate in these months.

In addition, the author asserts that the position of dinosaur's leg is underneath their bodies, similar to that of the endotherm animals which helps them to run effectively. In contrast, it is stated in the lecture that the dinosaur's leg position is supposed to support the weight of dinosaur's and they do nothing with their running ability. It is also proposed in the lecture that this position of legs allows the dinosaurs to have larger sizes which is an advantage for them.

Finally, although the passage suggests that dinosaurs have Haversian canal in their bones which is similar to endotherms, the professor believes that there is some more evidence in dinosaur's bone structure that differs from the endotherms. He states that by investigating dinosaurs bone structure, there are some proofs that their bones had stopped growing or grow slower when it was got cold and they had growth faster in warmer time. This differs from endotherms because they grow rapidly even in cold days.
