As it is stated in the passage, visual-spatial intelligence is a special kind of intelligence which let the person solves problems which concern an understanding of space and also helps the person to memorize all the patterns and changes which has occurred in a place or an object. As it can be realized from the lecture of the professor, visual-spatial intelligence is necessary for chess players why so they must remember all moves and also have this ability to predict next moves. The text explains that visual-spatial intelligence makes it possible to see objects from different sites and draw a picture of spatial information, in this way when an expert chess player with high visual-spatial intelligence is playing game can keep all of the moves and locations in his mind as a map and as the result the player will have this ability to play with ten people at the same time and remember that what changes has happened in the chess board and also understand that why each of them has happened. The text continues discussing about visual-spatial intelligence by stating that people with visual-spatial intelligence can predict and plan ahead and also predict the consequence of each possible action even before they happen. The professor agrees with this point by saying that visual-spatial intelligence helps the person to understand all plans and strategies and also find out that why each of these actions has happened. So in this way they can predict next steps better and better in future games.
