This is attributed to the fact that the amount of wave power energy fluctuates wildly, using new technologies on wave farms. This refutes the author's point that wave farms are technically credible.
Moreover, the lecturer argues that wave farms cause environmental problems. This is because the floating converters have harmful chemicals that can damage ocean. If substances in the floating converters leak into the ocean, it will cause negative consequence. This casts doubt on the idea in the reading passage that wave energy facilities are eco-friendly systems.
The final point made by the lecturer is that the floating converters would be bad influence on the scenery. It is obvious that the floating converters are painted with bright red which means they can be easily spotted on beaches. This is differ form the passage's view that wave farms is.
