The given pie charts compare different age groups, living in Yemen and Italy, in the year 2000 and estimations by the year 2050.Overall, it is seen that the rate of population of elders was more significant in Italy than Yemen, and in both countries their density is projected to grow significantly.
To begin with, in Yemen, the rate of young population, aged 14 or below, was greater than other two age groups, at just above half of total in 2000,while seniors made the least percentage, at only 3.6%,which it increased more than one and half times, at nearly 5.5% by 2050.However,during fifty years period, the former population declined dramatically to almost two thirds, and for the latter it grew more than 11%,reaching just above 57%.
In contrast, the measures and trends for Italy were different to Yemen. In 2000, over 60-year old people made approximately one fourth of total population, increasing to more than 42% by the year 2050.On the other side, the figures for Italians ageing 15 to 49 years old and over 60, which were more than 60% and 14% in 2000, decreased considerably to just above 45% and 11% respectively, after fifty years.
In conclusion, the pattern and trend of population in Yemen and Italy were different during 2000 to 2050.
