The pie chart shows the main causes of global land degradation and the table provides the information about the causes of land degradation by regions of the world during the 1900s.
From the chart it is clear that more than 90% land degradation worldwide is caused by over-grazing, deforestation and over-cultivation and among them over grazing occupies the first place with 35% whereas deforestation and over-cultivation occupies second and third place with 30% and 28% respectively. Other causes for the land degradation are negligible with even less than 10%.
