The chart below shows the number of men and women in further education in Britain in three periods and whether they were studying

The bar graph illustrate the different sexes studying fulltime and part time in UK over three decades. The two sources depicts in the three periods, part time education is more popular than fulltime education for both male and female.

Looking at the part time education sources, in 1970/71, there was 1,000,000 men studying as part timers and more than half of this pertains to the female counterpart of the same period. A decade later, the figures for men dropped to 850,000 and began to shyly climbed back up again to 900,000 in 1990/91, a rise of 50,000. Their female counterpart on the other hand, showed a gradual increase from 1970/71 and 1980/81, from 750,000 to 800,000 respectively. Facinatingly, it quickly shot up to 1,100,000 in 1990/91, a rise more than half from their male counterpart at 100,000.

It appears that both sexes are not fond of fulltime studies and, in 1970/71, the figures exhibit both men and women at 100,000 and 50,000 respectively, about 100 times lower amass from part time education. Eventhough within the three periods showed a gradual growth, they both levelled off at 200,000 in 1990/91.
