The chart below gives information about oil production capacity.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The bar chart illustrates the amount of oil produced by 6 different nations over a period of 20 years from 1990 to 2010, measured in millions of barrels per day.
Overall, it is obvious that the amount of oil produced in all countries increased over the 20-year period, except for that of Qatar. Additionally, Saudi Arabia accounted for remarkable higher figures of all time surveyed.
In 1990, the oil production amount in Iraq, Kuwait and UAE were around 2 million barrels per day, while the figure for Iran was slightly higher, at about 3 millions. The 20-year period witnessed trivial increases in the capacity of oil production in all four countries, with the amount of oil produced standing at roughly 4 millions.
By contrast, the production of oil in Saudi Arabia was significantly higher than that of the remaining five nations. The amount of oil was more than 8 millions in 1990, and this figure continued to grow by approximately 6 millions by the year 2010. On the other hand, Qatar registered for the lowest amount of oil, which remained under 1 million per day during the whole survey.
