The charts compare the proportion of different age groups in two distinct countries namely Yemen and Italy in the year 2000 and 2050.
Generally speaking, the population of children increases; however, the population of old people reduces in both region.
The proportion of below 59-year-olds declined in the Yemen; on the contrary, over-60-years has had an upsurge in that region, from about 3.6 % to just under 5.7 %. And more than a half of the Italy will be young people in the year 2025.
Having considered the population of Italy, you can deduce that in the year 2000, a half of the population was 15-59 years. Afterwards, it declined by about 17 %. In addition, 0-14 years has a reduction in the second considered period, by approximately 3 %. However, 60-year-old population has a two fold growth.
In brief, both Yemen and Italy has a rise in over-15-year-olds and they has, on the other hand, a reduction in below 15 years.
