The pie charts illustrates the online sales trends in the retail sectors o New Zealand within a ten year comparison in 2003 and 2013.
The charts show a massive increase of about 12% in sales for film and music from 2003 to 2013. In 2003, sales for film and music was on 21% which grew over the ten-year period. The biggest decline, however is under clothing which began at 24% in 2003 and ended up at 16% in 2013.
Sales for books also increased by a mere 3% which started at 19% in 2003 and finished at 32% in 2013. As for travel, there was also a huge decline of approximately 7%, respectively at 36% in 2003 and at 29% in 2013.
In summary, the buying preference of New Zealand's population has changed over the past ten years, Online retail sales for both film, music and books has seen remarkable growth from 2003- 2013. Whereas, sales for clothes and travel has declined over the past ten years.
