The graph below shows the number of books read by men and women at Burnaby Public Library from 2011 to 2014.
The line graph compares how many books were read by both genders at Burnaby Public Library over a period of 4 years.
It is clear that the number of books read by men increased over the period shown. Additionally, there was a significant fall in the figure for women in 2014, although women read more books than men from 2011 to 2013.
In 2011, the number of books read by women was highest, at about 5000 books, while the figure for men was noticeably lower, at 3000 books. One year later, women reader grew considerably to 8000 books, whereas men readers saw only a small rise to 4000 books in 2012.
Between 2012-2013, the figure for both genders went up to the same point of 10000 books. After that, the number of books read by men rose sharply to a peak of 14000 books in 2014 and became the highest figure in the line graph. At the same time, the figure for women declined rapidly by 8000 books.
