The given pie chart compare the information about five different fuel sources namely- oil, coil, natural gas, nuclear power and hydro power which are used for electricity production in Australia and France in 1980 and 2000.
Overall, total unit production was almost doubled in 2000 compare to amount in 1980. Coal was most common fuel for generate electricity in both years, whereas nuclear element was the most used fuel for electricity generation in 2000.
In 1980, unit of coal based electricity production was shared a half portion compared with other, which were 20, 20, 10 units produced by hydro plant, natural gas and oil. In contrast, almost three-fourth fraction of electricity produced by coal, natural gas and oil, which made up 25, 25, 20 units respectively. While, nuclear and hydro power production were negligible compared to other sources, accounted for 15 and 5 units.
In 2000, still coal was most popular fuel for power production and raised by 25 units compared to the figure for 1980. Hydro power was also experienced a upward tendency and reaching at 36 units in Australia. The amount for natural gas and oil were at 2 units merely. However nuclear power plant dominated all other electricity production sectors in France, which constituted just below three- fourth ratio ( 126 units). Coal and oil shared an equal 25 units in France. Hydro plant and natural gas were not in counted with only 2 units for both sources.
