the bar chart gives the information about which types of films were watched the most for men and women. While the pie chart illustrates the proportion of general ticket sales for various of types of films. Both diagrams refer to the USA in 2010.
Overall, what stands out from the bar chart is that the most popular movie is actions for men and romantic comedies for women. In pie chart, actions was the highest ticket sales.
Twice as many men said that they liked actions than comedies, at 40% and 20% in turn. In terms of actions, the number of men who liked to watch was much higher than for women, at 25 %. In contrast, women said that they spent on watching romantic comedies was six times as popular as that of men. Both comedies and western had the same proportion of men and women who liked, at 20% and 10% respectively. And regarding thriller and sci-fic, men said they liked watching was higher than women, at 15% and 10%, respectively for men, at 10% and 5% respectively for women
Action had almost half proportion of general ticket sales, with 49%, making it considerably more popular than comedies, at 24%. This was followed by romantic comedies with 12 %. And thriller came next at 10%, just ahead of other's ticket sales, at 5%.
