Qn : You are going to visit UK for an English and Homestay program. Write a letter to your host family. In your letter :
- introduce yourself
-ask the family some questions to get essential information about the UK.
-tell the family scheduled date of arrival and time
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Parksons,
I am Ms. Xyz Xyz and I am writing to you in reference to my Homestay application. Thank you for accepting my request! I am glad to know that you will be the first host family that I will reside with during my trip to the UK.
I am from India and as of now, I am pursuing my graduation in sociology at the Mumbai University. I live with my parents and two siblings in the city of Mumbai. I work a part time job at Caesar's Institute which has funded the "English and Homestay" program at Oxford University.
I am extremely excited about my trip to the UK. I was wondering whether you could provide me some information regarding the transport facilities in London so that I could familiarize my way around the city. Also, Could you also suggest some places in the UK that I could visit over the weekends ? This will help me plan my travel itinerary. Finally, I would like to know the weather conditions in the UK , so that I could carry clothing and accessories accordingly.
I will complete my graduation by the end of this month. The homestay program begins after six months, hence I have booked my tickets for the 2nd of December to Heathrow and will arrive at your residence by cab at 3.00 p.m.
I would appreciate it if you could revert back to me regarding the queries at the earliest. I am looking forward to spending some quality time with your family in London.
Yours sincerely,
XYZ.
