This essay offers some insights in favor of the former outlook.
There are numerous reliable grounds to support the belief that the information revolution has altered the way of mass communications. There is no doubt that people can keep in touch with one another regardless of their physical location and distance thanks to the advent of the internet and computers. This is much better as compared to sending letters as in the old days, which takes a great deal of time and is neither reliable nor efficient. To give an illustration, online social network such as Facebook and Yahoo have succeed in connecting thousands of people around the globe, bringing about a lot of positive impact to the individual as well as society.
In conclusion, from the above analysis, it is obvious that the information revolution has resulted in changes in mass communications, which leads to positive impact to the society.
