Overall, while Korea saw an significant decrease in the amount of waste discharge, the five countries remainder experienced downward trend. However, US is the largest countries producing waste over most years.
In 1980, US discharged 131 millions of tones waste, which is the highest amount, followed by Japan, with 103 less millions of tons. Likewise, Poland contributed 4 millions of tons doubling the amount of waste in Portugal, which constituted 2 millions of tons. By contrast, only 0.6 millions of tons was produced in Ireland making it the lowest figure at the same period.
According to the table, it can be clearly to seen that the level of waste in US continued grow exponentially to 192 millions of tons in 2000 and remained the first ranking throughout a twenty-year period. On the contrary, a remarkable fall was observed in the amount of waste in Korea from 31 millions of ton in 1990 to 19 millions of tons in 2000. Besides, Japan produced more 21 millions of tons, compared to more 2.6 millions of ton in Poland at the end of the given period. Additionally, starting at the lowest point in 1980, Ireland increased considerably in the level of waste, which was ending the same figure at the end of recorded year, at 5 millions of tons.
