You recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to go to college or to try to get a job. You think he/she should get a job.
Write a letter to this friend. In your letter:
1. Say why he/she would not enjoy going to college
2. Explain why getting a job is a good idea for him/her.
3. Suggest types of job that would be suitable for him/her.
Dear Himadri,
It was a pleasure to receive your letter last week. Good to note your wellbeings. You had asked for my advice about whether to go to college or try to get a job. In my opinion, you should try for a job. I would like to list down my reasons for it.
At first, I will mention why you should not go to college. Since you have been living in a different country, the funding for your studies would be solely on your shoulders. Hence currently it would be a burden on you. And other reasons would be these days no one substantially attends colleges, so it would be boring to attend all alone.
Secondly, you have been learning a new foreign language French and also achieved certain certificates during high school. So with the help of that expertise, you should further explore it by taking up a job. You would also get an opportunity to earn handsome money as well as entry into a good network with experienced people.
Lastly, I would like to suggest you the kind of roles you can apply for such as translator, teacher, interpreter, etc. You could learn few more skills also while working. In conclusion, I feel you should try to get a job for these reasons. I wish you my best wishes and good luck.
Yours Faithfully,
Preeti
