You are studying for a qualification, and you would like some time off work to complete it.
Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:
Ask for some time off to complete a qualification.
Suggest what you will do later at work if you have time off.
Say how the qualification helps your job or company.
Dear Mr. Fady,
I am writing to request one week off from work next month, as I am almost completed the Project Management course and looking forward to getting the certificate accordingly.
Although I will be having several meetings with clients during my leave, I arranged with my colleague to follow up with them on my behalf. He had previously dealt with them, and I informed him with all details to avoid any inconvenience. Therefore, I would ask if you could allow me for the leave to ensure good preparation for the test.
My plan further to join the next week after the vacation at the two shifts, day and night, with full performance and peace of mind to rap up all outstanding tasks. Focusing with clients to get all projects completed within one week time and arranging for the new projects with our new client where in China.
As soon as I get the course`s certificate, it allows me to be highly qualified in any submission of any forthcoming new local tender. I can not guarantee if it could be helpful for international project. The overseas projects need another more specific certificate to meet their specifications and standards.
Looking forward to knowing your decision on my leave request.
Yours sincerely,
Ayoub
