You recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to go to college or try to get a job. You think he/she should get a job.
Dear Vincent,
I hope you and your family are doing great. I felt really happy and pleased reading your letter, especially to know that you are now ready to take off your professional career. I being one of the closest friend to you, would like to strongly suggest to kick start your career with a decent while-collar job.
From my personal experience, you wouldn’t enjoy going to college as student’s life is very hectic and mundane which definitely is not your choice of living. Furthermore, the colleges these days are very expensive and is not under the financial range of middle-class people like us.
Moreover, I believe that at present you need to look for a job, so that you can financially support your family as it is the need of the hour. Also, with your current academic credentials, you can easily get a decent job with handsome remuneration.
Finally, knowing you so closely, I truly feel that you have excellent interpersonal and selling skills. Therefore, a job in the field of sales, such as, sales representative would be an ideal role to kick start your career.
Please write me back and let me know if you agree with my suggestion. It’s my pleasure to help you in any form. Convey my regards to Jane and your parents.
Regards,
Azhar
