The graph below shows the number of complaints made about noise to Environmental Health authorities in the city of Newtown between 1980 and 1996. Summaries the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The picture describes about the amount of critics made about noise by citizens of Newtown to Environmental Health authorities during 16 years. There are some resources of noise such as road works, traffic noise, factories and domestic/ household. Commonly, they have a steady trend either decreasing or increasing number.
Road works decreased slightly in the beginning and continued by falling sharply between 1982 – 1984 then back to slowly until 1988. It looks stable from 1988 to 1990 before falling down steadily towards 1996. Another trend is shown in factories which rose steadily in 1980 – 1982 and fell slightly in 1987 then became stable until 1994.
The flat pattern is showing in the early 4 years on both traffic noise and household. Then they fell steadily for 2 years but different trend happened since 1988 which household shown dramatic rise until the end and unlike traffic noise which had tendency of rising steadily. Uniquely, factories which were the lowest in the earliest became rising more than road works that fell down regularly and became the lowest in 1996.
Generally, I conclude that picture reflects the different pattern of trend about noise behavior between 1980 and 1996.
