You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter,
1- Give details of your study plans.
2- Explain why you want to get a part-time job.
3- Suggest how your friend could help you find a job.
Dear Dave,
How are you doing? I hope this letter finds you in good health and mental peace. It’s been a long time since we had conversation and I’m really excited to tell you that I got admission in the Ontario University.
The university is offering a two years course on computer science, which will really boost my academic credentials. Moreover, they provide plenty of time for assignments based on timetable that can be utilized to perform other activities. Even the tuition fee is quite less compared to all other institution which means I can easily support myself.
However, I have to rely on part-time job as bank has refused to provide loan for other expenses, such as rent and food bills. My parents are agreed to supply regular money but I want to avoid that as much as possible to avoid extra burden on them.
Could you please help me in this job hunting? As you have huge experience in Ontario and you’re familiar with the surroundings, you may provide some leads which can be very helpful to me in my initial days. I went through university map and found that there are fifteen fast-food outlets, if you can contact them for job vacancy, it’d be of great help.
See you soon!
Best wishes,
Sandip
