The charts show information about the relevance of the amount of annual rainfall with the number of herbivore animals (zebras and buffalos) at the Nboro Nature Reserve.
The annual rainfall was given effect for eating habit of the herbivore animals (zebras and buffalos) when there were more rain, there were more grass for herbivore animals and enough for two population of mammals without competence.
In 2005, the population of buffalos are lower than zebras, at around 40. From 2005 to 2011 that population increased each two years, there were at 80 in 2007 and around 110 in 2009 until reached 120. Otherwise, the population of zebras were higher than buffalos around 50 in 2005 and rose up about 78 in 2007 and fell down into 65 in 2009 then went up again to above 80 in 2011.
During the same period, the amount of annual rainfall from 2005 to 2011 were fluctuating. In 2005, there were 600 millimeters and increased to approximately 1.100 millimeters in 2007. In 2009, the amount of annual rainfall fell to around 700 millimeters then rose up highly to 1.200 millimeters in 2011.
Overall, the annual rainfall at the Nbroto Nature Reserve influenced for the number of herbivore animals in there. The number of both herbivore animals have increased over six-year period but the amount of rain appears to affect the number of zebras.
