The two pictures illustrate various changes in the town of Harborne between 1936 and 2007.
It is clear this town underwent a complete transformation with new additions to it. The town saw considerable growth in the development of new inhabited area during the period. Moreover, post office, bank and library still remain unchanged, however, less trees, and there was several replacements which occurred with some buildings.
Having a detailed look at the maps, the river which are located in the north east of the town removed to make way for the residential area. In the south east of the town, the government officers and the farm land converted to a museum and a golf course and to the north west of post office, two trees was chopped-down. Furthermore, in the center of the town, the flower shop was replaced by a travel agent, the sweet shop and the butchers the supermarket were knocked down to give away for a supermarket.
However, the post office, bank and library which are located in the center of the town still remained over the period. Additionally, when it comes to the cycle path which was positioned to the south west of the flower shop had been straightened.
