Successful sports professionals can earn a great deal more money than people in other important professions. Some people think this is fully justified while others think it is unfair.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Over the past several years sports champions income has steadily increased. although one school of thought believes that athletic icons earn a formidable fortune they do not deserve, I disagree with this idea. Analysing the influence of these people on the society and the effort that have made to achieve their goals will justify my perspective.
Firstly, sports champions, as a paragon for several others, inspire youngsters to embark on fruitful activities and avoid bad habits including addiction. For example, Bruce Lee, a great martial artist and movie star, motivated numerous individuals to take up practising sports such as Kung Fu. A considerable number of people in remote places of the world know him and try to follow his lead even after his death. His influence at a global scale should be admired and assumed unvaluable.
Secondly, to become internationally or even nationally recognised and cherished requires years of hard work and practice alongside an abstinent lifestyle which should be valued. Take Michael Phelps as an example: he spent two decades of training while on serious diets which cannot be put up with by a great majority of other athletics. any job or profession with this degree of effort has to be tremendously rewarded by society to be appealing enough.
By contrast, there are some argues against the necessity of high payment to athletic icons. The most notable and widely accepted is that the money which is given to these athletes ought to be spent in other ways to mitigate poverty. although this opinion sounds convincing, it should be considered that a significant proportion of any country's income is spent on warfare and defence budget which might eventually result in the massacre of human being. So, to cut the budgets there is a true priority.
to conclude, 'the great deal' of money which is paid to famous athletics seems sensible and fair. The positive impact and persistence of these people have to be acknowledged by society.
