These two tables illustrate how many Fairtrade-labelled coffee and bananas were sold in 1999 and 2004. Units are measured in millions of euros.
Overall, the sales of coffee had increased in these four countries (UK, Switzerland, Belgium, and Sweden) but in Denmark, it went down a little. Regarding the sales of bananas, all countries except Sweden experienced an increase in bananas sale.
First of all, when taking a look further, we can see that sales of coffee in UK increased significantly from 1.5 million in 1999 to 20 million in 2004 which is more than 10 times and Sweden's coffee sale only went up 0.2 which is the least from 1999 to 2004. On the other hand, coffee sales in Denmark slipped down a little from 1.8 million in 1999 to 2 million in 2004.
Next, there is a similar trend in bananas sales of these five countries which means only one country experienced a drop of bananas sale. Switzerland's bananas sale almost tripled from 1999 to 2004 and that of Belgium even increased 7 times while Sweden's bananas sale went down from 1.8 million in 1999 to 1 million in 2004.
