The given graph illustrates the proportion of the rented household and owned household accommodation in Wales and England between 1918 and 2011.
In general, it can be seen that, the per cent of the households in owned accommodation increased to reach a peak in 1918. While the lowest rate of the households in rented accommodation was in the same year.
To begin with, it can be observed that, the households in owned accommodation was about 23% in 1918. Moreover, grew up gradually to 50% in 1971. In 2001, the proportion reached to a peak ( about 69%). However, the rate decreased slightly to approximately 64% in 2011.
Turning to households in rented accommodation, it can be witnessed that, the percentage stood on around 77% in 1918. Then dropped markedly to 50% in 1971, which is the same rate for households in owned accommodation for same year. Furthermore, the per cent went down sharply to around 32%. Then grew up slightly to about 35% in 2011, which is less than the percentage for households in owned accommodation .
