For a example Fairmount apartments in SriLanka held in 9000sqt of land which includes 32 stories by providing 150 accommodation places and the other facilities such as parking, gym, swimming pool etc. If we are going to construct 150 dwellings individually, we have to face a huge land reduction problem. Furthermore in cities we can`t find any free land to construct buildings. If so we have to spend large amount of money to buy it. As a result of that skyscrapers are now identifying money and land saving projects for commercially and individually.

In the same way skyscrapers gives nice aesthetic appearance to city rather than the old traditional buildings. This may help to give a magnificent outlook of the city to other countries. Furthermore many architecture believes that the skyscrapers have more architectural freedom than the other building.

Thirdly, there are some bad facts as well as the good facts. Mainly there is high amount of possibility to crumbling down the high-rise building. In addition to that there was a vast environmental pollution while construction process of skyscrapers, such as air pollution due to large drilling process and piling hammering process.
