You are going to visit New Zealand for an 'English and Homestay' program. You have just received details of your homestay host family.
Write your first letter to the family. In your letter
• introduce yourself
• ask the family some questions to get information that is important to you
• tell the family about your arrival date and time
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Smith,
I am writing to appreciate your kindly reply and accept me as your guest. I am Soulmaz from Iran and have participated in English and Homestay program to promote my English skills and speak fluently. Moreover, as I am planning to continue education in New Zealand, I prefer to know more about your culture and life style.
Since I have not ever been in this country, I would be glad, if you could guide me. At first, I need some information about spring weather to bring suitable clothes. Moreover, I would like to be aware of your family hobby and how you do usually spend your spare time, this could help me to take part in all your routines. Finally, it should be mentioned that I will arrive on 20th April at 4 a.m., should I expect you at airport to pick me up?
I am looking forward to hearing your kind reply and please do not hesitate to contact me, if you need more information.
Sincerely Yours
Soulmaz
