transient lunar phenomena
The lecture and the reading passage both discuss about transient lunar phenomena, which is observed variety colors of areas on the Moon. In the lecture, however, the professor casts doubt on the hypothesis about the issue, which are described in the reading passage.
First of all, the reading passage argue that one cause of the phenomena is emitting gas. Gas which come from the beneath the surface of the lunar are the factor that affect changing colors while the lecture indicates that this hypothesis is not true, in other words, gas is not the factor that affect changing colors. To be more specific, according to lecture, gas not emitted near the TLP sites and due to it's too small, gas can't be seen in the Earth.
Secondly, in contrast to the claim of the reading that dust floating above the moon's surface is the one reason by reflecting the light, the professor insist that dust can't cause of the TLPs. To be more particular, little dust can't affect to the phenomena and people who reached Moon found that dust is too flat, so it can't reflect light.
Finally, according to the reading passage, solar radiation is one possible reason of TLPs. However, the lecturer maintains that it is debatable due to insufficient data. With more detailed, according to observation data, comparing data of the phenomena and TLPs data are sometimes match but not match many times. So, he think it's not correlation.
