The table below illustrates results consolidated from three surveys, whose purpose are to show the changes in students’ opinions about five distinctive aspects of a university over a ten-year period, starting from 2000.
The provision of electronic resources is considered as the most improved aspect by students, with positive rating starting at only 45% in 2000, then increased nearly as double in 2005, and continued to reach a peak of 88% in 2010, making it one of two best university features. Sharing the top ranking with electronic resources at the end of the period was print resources, which had always been holding the first place of popularity in students’ minds throughout a decade.
On the other hand, the attitude of students towards “range of module offered” aspect had shown a negative tendency, with its ratings continued to decrease slightly over the years and considered the worst aspect of the school. Another interesting point to notice is that “building/teaching facilities” ratings had remained unchanged with a positive response of 77% over the period.
