You work for an international company. You have seen an advertisement for a training course which will be useful for your job.
1. describe the training course you want to do
2. explain what the company could do to help you
3. say how the course will be useful for your job
Dear Mr Jon Smith,
I am writing this quick letter to describe my interest in one of the online course I have seen on the internet and I am keen to do that.
The online course is the certification about professional communication in the corporate world for the duration of a year offered by Stanford University. As it is the online course, I don't need to take off work. It can be completed with the dedication of five to six hours a week which wouldn't be a hindrance to my daily work.
The company can also help me to prioritize my profile during selection by sponsoring me for the course. I would like to make a small request about taking a week off during exam time if it's not affecting my routine.
As this course is about communication skills, it will be proven helpful whenever I go outside to represent the company and for the presentation. With the help of this certification, I will be able to conduct small sessions regarding communication skills inside the company for employees.
I would love to complete this certification and I assure you that it will not degrade my work at all. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Let me know in case of any further information.
Yours Sincerely,
Jaimin
