Australian men and women do regular physical activity in 2010
The chart illustrates the difference amongst age groups of males and females who took part in physical activity in Australia in 2010.
Overall, most age groups witnessed a higher percentage of women who do activities related to physical health. In addition, the groups of 35 to 44 and 45 to 54 years old participated in these activities at higher rate than the other groups.
Australian women had a high proportion in age groups of 35 to 44, 45 to 54, and 55 to 64, with 52,5%, 53.3%, and 53% respectively. In the meantime, the other groups of females had less interest in physical exercises, with 47.7% (age of 15 to 24) , 48.9%( age of 25 to 34), and 47.1% ( over 65 years old).
It is surprise that men were not keen on doing workouts. We can obviously see that they did these activities at low percentages of most age groups, ranging from 39.5% to 46.7%. However, there was a positive highlight that for men at young age, they became more interesting in these regular activities than the others, including females at the same age group.
