Respected Sir,
Good Day. I am writing this letter to your kind notice on behalf of the residents of Porur area, inorder to highlight some valuable information related to one of the ancient buildings in our locality “The Local Porur Library”. We hereby express our dissatisfaction towards the city council’s plan of demolishing this old library premises. This library plays a vital role with the life’s of students for their educational use and for residents who carries reading books as their hobby. Moreover this facility is existing for a prolong period of time in this area by enabling the public to rely upon it for all their intellectual requirements. Therefore inorder to avail this benefit for a longer run we recommend and request to restore this information center.
We wanted to update you that, all the residents of this locality is keen in retaining this book center for current as well as future generation. Because of this motto, majority of the population is willing to contribute some amount of money as per their capabilities and to collect donations from corporates, gated communities and industries which are placed out nearby – which will result in generation of a lump sum amount for reconditioning this library facility. Also the public has even extended their acceptance for an increase in the rates of Library membership charges – so that monthly maintenance of this premises becomes easily manageable.
Requesting you to consider our apprehension and support us with approvals to retain this earliest library facility in our locality.
Thanking you!
Your’s Faithfully,
Shakthi Priya
