Overall, in Yemen, the numbers of 60 years and above, and 15-59 year olds will increase while that of children will drop. A decline in the numbers of 15-59 years and 0-14 years is expected in italy by 2050.
Half of Yemen's population in 2000 was children but will reduce to just over one- third in 50years. Whereas, a growth of almost 10% is projected for the percentage of 15-59 year olds, which was 46.3% in 2000. Similarly, 2050 will see an improvement in the proportion of the elderlies, from 3.6% to 5.7%; the least in both years.
