The given charts provide information on the purpose of using public transport system, and the major challenges encountered en route , in america, in 2009; respectively. The unit is in percentage. Overall, work and cost of transportation are the main reason and problem respectively, while visitation is the least need to travel.
The bar chart shows that almost half of the reasons us residents commute is work related, whereas, just a fraction of it(6%), is to visit family and friends. The other factors why people go on trips include personal reasons (19%), shopping (16%), and for social, which is 6% lesser than shopping.
However, the pie chart indicates that the america populace are faced with six challenges while using public transport; with price of travelling taking the lead at 36%. 19% and 17% are also concerned with safety and aggressive drivers respectively. Lastly, lack of pedestrian spaces bothers 6%, the least of all the issues with public vehicles.
