2. Your friend is moving to your neighbourhood next weekend.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter
- offer to help your friend move
- Explain when and how you can help
- give them some useful information about the local area
Dear John,
How are you? How is family? I am happy about your decision to move to my neighborhood. Anyway I would be glad to be your neighbour and offer my services as much as I can.
Thankfully, I am on a two-weeks-annual leave from work, therefore, I have enough time at hand. This means that assisting you to move your luggage would not be a problem.
Although I had the intention to travel to the United States but I will change my plans and make myself available for fourteen days. Since you know how much strength I have, why don't you just assign the heavy duties to me? Carrying furniture wouldn't be a hassle at all.
By the way, have you heard a few things about this lucky neighborhood? Although it is known for its security but please avoid late-night movement because of the recent robberies that occurred. Luckily, a new superintendent has been assigned and he can be contacted anytime.
Anyway let me know what you think about my offer.
Your friend,
Jack
