The map below show the center of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.
The following pictures compare the differences between the appearance of Islip town center nowadays and in the future.
Overall, there will be more infrastructure and some areas are going to disappear for those replacement.
Firstly, the dual way for carriage will encompass the town center. Besides, the main road will be used for just pedestrians only. At the present, there are two ranges of shops locate on two sides of the road. However, one of them will be demolished to build the bus station, shopping center, car park and a new housing from West to East respectively.
Furthermore, the old housing will be removed to the West of the remained shops while in the East area of it, the park will become smaller for building another housing. After all, the school and housing outside the dual way will still remain their locations.
