The graphs below show the size of ozone hole over Antarctica an the production of three ozone-damaging gases from 1980 to 2000. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
size:12.0000pt;">There are two given line graphs which both shows information between 1980 and 2000. While the first chart illustrates the size of the ozone hole of antarctica, the other describes the amount of three different types of gases that destroy the ozone layer.size:12.0000pt;">
size:12.0000pt;">Generally, the ozone hole’s size increased dramatically during the period of 20 years, and CFC-12 and Nsize:12.0000pt;vertical-align:sub;">2size:12.0000pt;">O can be seen as the two major factor causing that happened.size:12.0000pt;">
size:12.0000pt;">In particular, the size of the ozone hole over antarctica was under 500 million square kms in 1980. The figure then reached a peak at nearly 2000 thousands square kms in 1990 prior to the slight drop to about 1100 thousands square kms between 1992 and 1993. After that period, the ozone hole’s size became bigger with a significant number, which is as double as the previous size, at around 3500 thousands square kms in 2000.size:12.0000pt;">
size:12.0000pt;">The factors that leads to this negative increasing are the three gases, symboling at A, B, C for CFC-11, CFC-12 and Nsize:12.0000pt;vertical-align:sub;">2size:12.0000pt;">O respectively. The amount of A emission to the environment was recorded at almost 70 million tonnes in 1980. Despite being stable in the next three years, that amount of A suddenly declined substantially to just over 10 million tonnes in 1995, and continued to decline to around 5 million tonnes in the next five years. At the same time, the statics of B expericenced a rise from almost 30 million tonnes in 1980 to nearly 50 million tonnes in 2000. In the contrary, it was not until 1990 that the amount of C was recored to be emitted to the eco system. The firgure rose quickly by 30 million tonnes throughout 10 years.size:12.0000pt;">
