You recently attended a conference and you would like to give a presentation in your office about the information you gained by attending the conference.
Write a letter to your manager asking for permission to give a presentation. In your letter:
• describe what type of presentation you have in mind
• what topics it would cover and how long it would take
• who should participate in the presentation and where should it be conducted
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear ............,
Dear Mr. Simon,
I am writing this letter with regards to seek permission to do the presentation about the knowledge which I acquired in the conference.
Let me explain you in more detail. Recently, I have attended Human resource seminar in Mumbai, organized by government authorities. During the presentation, they imparted information about employee engagement, but the most important topic which they have presented is sexual harassment. So, I would like to conduct small conference with our employees and provide knowledge about the sexual harassment.
In the meeting, I will discuss about the topics like basic HR policies, office harassment and taking feedback and suggestions of the employees, with regards to the work life. The discussion will takes place about an hour or two, depending upon the number of employees engaging in the conference.
I would request to all head of the department to participate in the meeting, also send maximum number of participants from their team. We could conduct the presentation in our training hall. I would also be requiring projector and screen to show some video clips about the office harassment. At the end of the meeting, we could also form committee for our employees, to report any issue faced by them.
I will be waiting for your positive response.
Yours sincerely,
Tim Frank
