Overall, it is clear that the value of exports increased in all product categories except Gems and jewellery during 2015 and 2016. In addition, Textiles showed a biggest change.
Looking at the chart and the table in more detail, Petroleum products and Engineered goods accounted for a biggest number of export earnings. Those categories saw an upward trend at 3% and 8,5% respectively over the period shown. In contrast, there was a decrease in Gems and jewellery, over 5% from 43 billions in 2015 to 40 billions in 2016.
Turning to two remaining categories, it is evident that in 2016 export earnings from Agricultural products experienced a slight increase just under 1%, while Textiles increased dramatically from 25 billions to over 30 billions (a 15,24% rise) compared to 2015.
