The diagram below shows the process of using water to produce electricity.

The diagram illustrates how electricity is generated using water.

overall, power generation process consists of over a ten stages, which starts with the evaporation of water and ends with the distribution of electricity to different places.

The process begins with the evaporation of water due to sunlight. Vapor produced from this get together and form clouds, which get converted into water droplets due to change in atmosphere temperature and results in rain. This water get stored in dam reservoir. Valve at the bottom of the dam gets open and water starts to flow at the turbine blades and rotate the turbine to produce electricity.

After this water is being sent back to water reservoir using water pump. Now the electricity generated from turbine is transmitted to transformer station through high voltage cables. Finally, in transformer station electricity is transformed into required form then it is supplied to the various sectors by underground cables.
