Dear manager,
I am writing this requesting for some time off work to complete my PMP (Project Management
Professional) certification for which I will be taking up the exam on 25 th of September.
Since I am working for 10 hours per day and 6 days a week, I am finding it difficult to spare time for my
preparation for the exam. The weekdays are hectic, but the weekends have lesser load of work, so I
thought that I would take the weekend that is Saturday an off which I usually work.
After completion of exam I would rather double fold my work contribution and I am also ready to work at
the weekends and stretch my work hours so that I can cope with the lag which I had during my off time.
The PMP certification will be helpful in my career since it is a globally accepted. The company will also
gain credits in the eyes of the association for having a certified professional in the team.
