Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? All university students should be required to take history courses no matter what their field of study is. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
history sounds normally boring to the students that do not study any subjects relating to it. The question would be asked is that " is it a good idea to plan history as a main subject for all the courses, even though they do not take it as their main field. In my opinion, it is an unneccessary addition. I strongly disagree with it.
Let me account for my decision. first of all history is already included in every first word of any subject. For example, at the beginning of chemistry, the students will be taught about Rutherford, who had discovered the gold atom. The second reason which strengthens my statement are students' will and joy. Just imagine that how a free one would feel if he is forced to do what he does not like it. With an excellent student he would have tried hard to accomplish the good scores. Contrarily, an average student would consider history as well misery struggle in his student-life. According to a statistic of the national Education Council of Vietnam, there are 70 percent of students could not say the name of a historical hero correctly. In another hand, some students they learn it because of their own interest in history. Then why we have to put history as an obligation applied for all the courses?
In summary, i would like to confirm my opinion that history should be counted as a freewilling subject, which students can choose to study with happiness.
