You have just received a credit card statement from your bank. The statement lists a number of expensive purchases that you are sure you did not make.
Write a letter to the bank manager. In the letter:
• Introduce yourself.
• Explain that you did not buy the items listed.
• Say what you would like the bank to do to fix the problem.
Dear Sir,
I am David, I have an account in your bank and recently got a credit card issued worth Rs. 1 million. I have received a bank statement for the month of September while going through the transaction details; I have noticed two oddly expensive transactions worth rs. 20,000 and 12,000 respectively. Both amounts are charged for some product purchase from an online store and the amount is deducted in dollars. these transactions turned out to be so prominent from the card statement as I had never bought anything from that particular website.
First of all, I would like you to raise my dispute with your relevant investigation team and ask them to register a complaint against these disputed purchases. please ask one of the representatives to call me and explain how my credit card is being utilized online; moreover, identify the location where the card has been used from. The card is in my custody and I am sure someone has hacked my card details and did online purchasing. please share the turned around time for the resolution of this complaint at your earliest possibility.
Looking forward to your outright response.
Yours Truly,
David
