You have just received a credit card statement from your bank. The statement lists a number of expensive purchases that you are sure you did not make.
Write a letter to the bank manager. In the letter:
• Introduce yourself. -
• Explain that you did not buy the items listed.
• Say what you would like the bank to do to fix the problem.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I have been a loyal customer of ICICI Bank for 10 years. I am holding a savings account and a credit card from your bank. I am writing to inquire about the recently received December month credit card statement on my email address.
Let me elaborate, while I read through the detailed statement of credit card, I noticed that there is a transaction of $50 made through PayPal. This amount has been debited for the online purchase of a wristwatch from Snapdeal.com. I was quite shocked to see this redundant amount because I did not place any online order using my credit card and even I never registered with PayPal.
Therefore, I would like you to investigate further in this regard and I hope you will adjust the spent money in next month's statement. Furthermore, let me know if you want to issue a new credit card. I would really appreciate if you could get back to me at the earliest convenience.
I look forward to hearing a positive response from you.
Yours faithfully,
Deepak Sharma
