The graph compares the rate of people going to a movie theatre on different days of a week in the years 2003, 2005 and 2007.
Overall, the number of people going to a theatre on weekends is higher than the weekdays. All days saw a fluctuated trend with Monday, Saturday and Sunday experienced an upward trend, while Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday saw a downward trend. Friday numbers are constant in all the years.
In 2003 ,10% of people visited movie theatres on Monday, which is lowest of all the days in the year, while 40% of people watched a movie outside on Saturdays which is the highest of the year. Sunday movie watchers contributed to 30% in 2003. Despite improvement in the number of film watchers on Monday, Saturday and Sunday to just under 15%, 45% and around 35%, respectively in 2005 the figures went down at the end of the period.
On the other side, Wednesday theatre visitors are around 15% in 2003 and declined steadily to just under 10% by 2007. Tuesdays and Thursdays have followed the same trend with a decline in the figures at the end. In contrast, Friday cinema visitors remained stable in all the years with 30%.
