The map below is of the town of Canterbury. A new school (S) is planned for the area. The map shows two possible sites for the school.
The map below shows the upcoming project for school construction in one of two places in Canterbury which contains countryside, housing, main road, town centre and university.
Overall, maybe s1 is more suitable to be a best recommendation to build the school there.
Site s1 will be located at countryside. The distance from town center to countryside is 5km to Sturry to the west. Despite of the less length, the number of people still accounts for the majority, with total population about 7000. It is clear that university situates at the countryside's region and housing is between countryside and town centre area without traffic zone.
In term of site s2, the length between town center and countryside to the east is approximately 7km to Charthan. In spite of that, the amount of residents are less than the eastern population of about 2500. Therefore, the student in site s1 may get larger and the school in s1 will be more attractive than s2.
