Your local newspaper wants to reward people who have contributed a lot to the community. Write a letter to the newspaper. In your letter:
suggest someone who deserves the reward
mention what they have done to help the community
say what reward you would like to give this person
Write about 150 words. You do not need to write addresses.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing in regards with the newspaper ‘’Weekly news’’ where I read about awarding someone who has done some goods for the community.
I am actually quite keen to recommend you, one person who would definitely deserve a premium for her hard work, she is Mary Brown.
Mary has contributed to organising different local events for our community to bring the neighbourhood together. These events started about a year ago. She is very good at organising and the majority of people are attending to take part. Thankfully to Mary, people gather together and it gives us the opportunity to see what kind of people are living in our neighbourhood. Also, it gives us a chance to make friends. In fact, people get time to chat about the problems and how to make our community better. These events have helped a lot to get closer with neighbours as well as keep our area safe.
I think she would deserve either a certain amount of money or a gift card, in this case, she can decide by herself what she needs.
Yours faithfully,
Danielle Freeman
