Your neighbors have recently written to you to complain about the noise from your house flat.
Write a letter to your neighbors. In your letter
-explain the reasons for the noise
-apologies
-describe what action you will take
Hello Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you with regard to the complain letter that you have sent to me.
At the beginning I would like to humbly apologize for the inconvenience due to the situations that occurred.
Last weekend, me and my wife were testing new smoke detector in our apartment, and I assume that was the noise which interrupted your kids sleep. I can assure that this situation will not happen again. However, I suggest checking your fire alarm in apartment because, I have received email from our building management about some issues with the existing ones. Apparently, they may not work in case of fire. In attachment you may find the smoke detector instruction which may help you to do
self-test check.
However, I hope that this situation will not have bad impact on our friendship. One more time I really regret the event and request for forgiveness. Please accept this box of chocolates as my apologies.
Your sincerely,
Tomasz Zawadzki
