The given pie charts illustrate the comparison of electricity production by different fuels sources in france in the years 1990 and 2010.
Overall, electricity production did not stay similar over the period stemming from the 5 diverse sources. In the second period nuclear power became the major sector in manufacturing. While coal, oil, natural gas and hydro power also contributed to production, the percentage of their majority significantly decreased in the year 2010.
comparatively, the largest segments of manufacture of electricity in france declined in their percentage. More specifically, 28% of coal source was only 13% in 2010, decreasing at 15%; meanwhile the second previous most contributed to a production segment of natural gas fell in percentage from 28 to 4, which is an approximately sevenfold decline.
In contrast, nuclear power made up a biggest part of the chart in 2010, increasing significant from 17 to 67%, which is a rise of 50%. comparing to 22% of oil source in 1990, which has not risen,seeing the same trajectory that have other sectors, exclude nuclear power, falling to 13%. At the same time, hydro power was the smallest segment, almost remained similar over the period, falling slightly from 6 to 2%.
